The Locale
Famed for the hallowed Adam’s peak, two of Sri Lanka’s major reservoirs and a waterfall hunter’s paradise, the expansive mountain ranges of Hatton and Maskeliya is your gateway to Upcot. Situated 5000 feet above sea level with an average temperature of 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, it borders the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary, which is an extension of the Horton Plains National Park. The park which extends from Horton Plains to Adam’s peak is one of Sri Lanka’s biggest UNESCO heritage sites encompassing montane grassland and cloud forest, rich in biodiversity and endemic species.

‘The Meriacotta Estate’ as the property was originally called, was a 200-acre derelict plantation which was restored to not only bring back its former beauty, but also as a part of a sustainable project that harmoniously combined the best natural offerings with leisure and living. Bordering the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary, the location provided an endless treat of natural beauty which inspired us to introduce endemic flora to the land as well, elevating it to a nature-worthy state.
The Bungalows At The Willows
The bungalows comprise of 5 main styles designed to maximise what each plot offers, while also giving residents customisation options to further personalise their space. Each free hold property consists of 40-perches with a structure of approximately 2300 to 2500 square feet. Each block is surrounded by lush tea which also forms a mode of green-dividends for home-owners. Built with the technical expertise of Sanken, a constructer-par excellence, ‘The Willows’ is operated and managed by Upcot Green fields private limited.
